Ello, ello. I have no idea why I am up so early but nonetheless, cannot sleep so I figured "post time, post time".

Things have been kind of up and down, mostly my moods have been up and down. Cinco De Mayo was not very memorable because for the life of me I cannot recall what I did that weekend. I know my fiance and I saw 'Thor' which I enjoyed thoroughly. I know I went a little nuts and ordered too much stuff online (as you can see above), and that is far at the memory goes. There was another trip to Pinkberry? It is all slowly coming back to me - the amnesia is wearing off - now back to my soap opera scheming. I'm kidding, of course.... or am I? Dun dun dun.

Onto the loot! The ASOS top I ordered kinda on a whim, I had an extremely positive experience with ASOS with my last purchase of the gorgeous maxi dress and although the shipping wasn't lightning speed fast like last time (it was standard shipping so no real complaints), I am quite pleased. I tried on the top briefly but not enough to make a full review, it definitely is pretty and perfect for Spring. ASOS has the most sumptuous things.

The New Look top is quite cute and again for some stupid reason I have not fully tried it on, I thought it would be a cute top I could dress up or down for casual occasions or nights out. I have a hunch it will flatter my girls, the shipping time was standard and it definitely appears to be (try it on, my god Rachel) true to how it appeared online.

My Forever 21 experience, are they not calling it Faith 21 anymore? Anyway the lace skirt is to die for, I'm so scared to let my cats anywhere near my closet because they showed an avid interest in getting next to it. It's quite delicate and absolutely gorgeous! Fits well and I just love it. I also ordered a yellowish tank top, my fiance abhors yellow so he growled at it a little when I showed him it. The pocket watch necklace is really quite stunning in person, the length is perfect and I love the etching on the outside. It was even set to EST time when it arrived to me. I couldn't be happier with my purchases from Forever 21.

Alight, however, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The two cardigans are the exact same size and the exact same cardigan just different colors but they fit differently. One feels smaller than the other and the black one came with a string hanging off the hem. I like the style of the cardigans but both are a little too small for my liking and a little cheaply made. I'm debating whether to exchange them for a bigger size or just return them all together. Not to mention, they were a bit pricey, which I was not a fan of. The satin skirt is okay, although doesn't really fit like I thought it would, it is a lot shorter (a little below knee, which is fine but not as shown but then again I am quite tall at 5'9") and the fit is a lot different than shown (more form fitting than flowy). I'm keeping the skirt but I'm a little disappointed with it. Overall, I don't think I will be ordering from them again. All the clothes seemed to be cheaply made and overpriced.

I had a little buyers remorse after all that. I should have paced myself. I've been a little unsatisfied with my job as of the last two or so weeks and I think it has caused me to want to shop a little more.

The following week, I took a half day on Thursday to drive up to Maryland to get my license renewed. Long boring story for why I have to do that. Called my friend Row and we went to a late lunch at Common Market where we had many giggles over absolutely amazing wraps! I swear, it was the best wrap I've ever had. It was a brown rice tortilla with chicken, spinach, tomatoes, swiss cheese, and a parmesan basil spread. Nommy, nom, nom! I can't wait to go back for more, I'm sorry I didn't take pictures because it was that good. Drool, droool!

Afterwards I drove over to Barnes and Noble to meet up with Summer. We also had many a giggle. I finally, since I have literally been wanting to do this since I was 10 years old, got a second piercing in my ear. I didn't really think about it, just talked about it for a minute or two and decided - I'm going to do it. Of course, I had to be a smart ass the entire time - "Am I going to die?", "So uh, what happens if my ear falls off?", "Do you have any formal training, huhuhuh?" - it was all in good fun and meant in humor, she was laughing - some of the time. She asked me if I wanted a countdown and I, brave and strong, said "Just do it. Nike" and then I asked for a lollipop when it was all over. I'm quite pleased with it, and pleased with my spontaneity. If only I could put that spontaneous energy to good use. It is lame that it took me this long to do it but at least, I finally did it. Now what else can I pierce, hmm...

I look like I have some side burns goin on' or something, the fan was blowing my hair all around.
I also bought a few other things, which I took a picture of (below). The pocket watch necklace snuck itself in -friggin attention hog.

Afterwards, Summer and I went to Uno's for dinner and Roy Rogers for dessert (mmm strawberry shortcake). We finally had to close ship when it was past our bed times and I drove home absolutely exhausted.

Oh my I almost forgot to mention, I saw a friggin vulture on the way to the MVA. It was just perched casually, ya know, hanging out on a fence along the scenic route 15. When I first spotted it I thought it was a decoration because that sucker was big, I've never seen one that close up. It didn't have a red face so it actually wasn't a turkey vulture but it definitely was a vulture. I actually yelled out to myself in the car "HOLY BIG BIRD BATMAN." Then I had to feel sad wondering whose death it was awaiting. I wish I had been going slow enough to take a picture of him.

God, I never shut up. Anyway onto picture I mentioned of more loot (shopping addict, shopping addict - seek help). I got these fingerless gloves with a heart print (for Goth Prom that Summer and I are hopefully attending next week, I never went to my prom because well, I probably would have preferred to have my molars extracted. I didn't really care for the majority of people I went to high school with), fuzzy cat ears, two headbands - one in a leaf like Roman style, and the other with glitter (yay for glitter), star studs to replace these when my 6 weeks are up, and Skins Seasons 2 and 3. I had a little checkout drama but it is all somewhat sorted.

I feel like there is more I'm leaving out but I believe that is it. Thursday was full of merriment. The weekend was a lazy one, tackled with Costco crowds and did many a nap. Watched 'Piranha' and caught up on 'The Borgias' and 'Game of Thrones'.

I'm sadly, going to be slowing down on the shopping for a long while, I've been going a bit overboard. I hope you'll understand, it's not you, it's me and my lack of funds. I almost typed funk, it is my lack of funk, James Brown would be so disappointed. BUT anywho, I've said enough, enjoy the rest of your week everyone.

The weather is flipper beautiful today, I want to just roll around in the grass like a fluffy Pomeranian - but then it makes my skin all itchy and the neighbors start drug and/or insanity rumors (although I would not be surprised if the latter has already been surmised). I apologize, yet again, for that incident with the mayonnaise (I'm joking, anyone watch 'Archer'? Damn funny show).

I apologize, for realies, for my delay in posting - I almost typed 'postage' just then, been spending a little bit of time being a Pam Beesly.  I doubt anyone has seriously wondered but I figured I'd send out apologies in case anyone (uh...) missed me so, so much.

So to update about my knee, it is somewhat better, my mobility has certainly improved. The weekend after my last posting was not so awesome in regards to my articulatio genus, I ended up having to skip my wine tasting plans because I could barely move. The next day I woke up feeling a little better but made the mistake of over-straining myself and ended up in tears from the pain. It was nice to see Laurie, Jason, Troy, and Lisa. After the hike (I barely attended) we all watched a really bizarre movie, best summary I can give you is )) <> ((  which will make absolutely no sense if you haven't seen the movie but there is an ass referenced there - twice. My monkey and I stopped by a thai place where I was continuously distracted by BIGFISH (say it as one word dammit!).

Why are you posting pictures of large fish? You ask. Well, because I can. Rawr.

I ordered some really cute shirts. I have yet to wear the vintage 'Little Red Riding Hood' one but I will take pictures when I do. The other shirt I just love, even with full consideration of the dirty looks I received at the nail salon whilst wearing said shirt. I got a manicure and pedicure last weekend for the first time in a looong time and ugh - it was wondrous.

Zombie shirt for the win! I just love it. I would wear it to work if I could get away with it.

I went to the doctor that following Monday, who said I probably have a pinched nerve in my back (I live with constant back pain, I can't even imagine a minute that would go by without back pain, it is the suck) and tendonitis of the knee. She was really nice but I was a bit frustrated not to get any real solutions offered to me or at the very least some strong sedatives! No one will give me a prescription for strong pain killers, WHY? WHY??!

Is that all the new items I've gotten over the last er, three weeks, no. Definitely not.

Manicure with 'Midnight in Moscow' nail polish by OPI. You can't really tell but it is a brownish red color and I love it. I almost (went in, held it in my hand, sprayed my hair with Pink Sugar spritzer but decided $8.50 was a bit much for nail polish) went to Ulta and bought it. In the background is my new purse I found in a clearance bin from Kohls that I've gotten at least 3 compliments on. AND my four new rings, also from Kohls, the one to the far right has a purple stone in and the middle (fuckyou, well not YOU kittens :) finger has a black stone.

I got a blue maxi dress I've worn several times from Target that I didn't take a picture of but you can see the color in the background behind my pasty ass Hulk arm and pretty new bracelet also from Kohls. I tried on this green and navy dress that was quite cute but I put it back - it wasn't cheap enough for me. You can spot my boyfriends arm on my leg by the way - awwies.

My boyfriend and I have been to the movies a few times over the last few weeks, we've seen 'Water for Elephants' which I really enjoyed. The Waltz was amazing, what a fab actor. 'Source Code' which was mediocre. And I think there was a third... maybe I'm wrong. I guess not, my ticket stub collecting does not lie.

Very empty Fairfax Corner
Easter was a half day of work, which was awesome, although I think I just napped.

My birthday was April 29th, I turned 26. Yes, I'm not pleased about getting older, I mean there is no getting around it but I still don't have to be a fan of it.

I had been talking to my boyfriend for months about what we should do for my birthday and around mid-April he started alluding to the fact that he had made surprise Birthday plans for me. "Don't buy that, maybe you'll get it later" or "Maybe we shouldn't go to this restaurant since we might be going later in the month", or (my personal fave) "You should catch up on your stretches my sex kitten." Okay the last one was not said, well not in those words, hehehehe FILTHY (ode to Darrell).

My birthday was heavenly, a minor set back with my Mom putting on her drama hat and un-mothering me on facebook over some stupid plans I have to pretend to enjoy going to every fucking (fucking, what? It's Say Fuck Thursday) year.

At work they gave me cupcakes, a Happy Birthday memo on my desk, and a nice card signed by the entire office (all 4 of them).

Friday night (29th) went to Maggianos with Darrell, Alexia, Amber, and Amber's boyfriend Carlos. Amber and her boyfriend were running a bit late so D & Z and I got ridiculously hyper and had filthy, FILTHY, conversations. By the time Amber (my boyfriends sister) arrived she leaned over and asked Jason "How much has she had to drink?" and I replied in a fit of laughter (and very flushed in the face) "NONE, hehehehehetee." We were the second to last people to leave. Alexia (Z) and I made aluminum foil tiaras and danced by the bar. For my birthday I got a dragon necklace, 'Nailbomb' cd, 'Shiny Toy Guns' cd, 'The Pianist' on novel (word play), Ten Little Zombies, The Perfect Insult, and Cat are Weird on bookage from D and Z, Beetlejuice action figure, and that talking Ken doll. Yes, I got a friggin talking Ken doll for my *cough* 26th *cough* birthday, yes I've chased my cats with it. It entertains me, he remains naked, thanks for asking.

Oh, oh my boyfriend got me epic cakes from Costco and also, joined Costco! Double win, well triple win since his silly ass bought two cakes. I love him <3 He is the best, honestly, I'm rarely sentimental but he is. I had such a good birthday all things considered. Amber and Carlos were so nice to travel all the way to see little (who you kiddin') birthday girl me, and D and Z were fun as fuck (It is still Say Fuck Thursday) as always.

Saturday was a complete surprise, we stopped by Rows. I wore my ASOS dress (new) that I LOVE and received many compliments over. At around 5:33PM everyone was urging my boyfriend to get a move on and we headed out. We ended up at a cabin in Thurmont (about 10-15 miles outside Frederick) that I LOVED. I was pleasantly surprised! He picked the best cabin too, the furthest off with nice views and a lovely screened in porch. We had sexy times and leftovers from Maggianos, I loved it! I didn't want to leave, I want to go back! Look at all those exclamation points, wow.

Cabin living room area. It had A/C and electric obviously.

View from the screened in porch off the cabin. We sat in the rocking chairs and listened to the rain, it was so relaxing.
My boyfriend was afraid I would not like it because it was a bit rustic and I'm not much of an outdoorsy gal but I really enjoyed my time there. It felt so relaxing and calm. It was a nice change from my everyday feeling. I generally don't feel very calm (or clam. damn fingers, stop), obviously. Sunday was spent relaxing, doing a little walking, doing a little getting lost, and doing a little crying over not wanting to leave the woods.

Instead of my usual sign off, because I've already said way too much. I leave you with pictures we took of a lake in Cunningham Falls.

Thank the holy hot skillet tomorrow is Friday.
Watch Archer, it is hysterical.
Don Pablo's chicken fajitas are tasty (went there Tuesday).

Last thoughts, signing off.
